Middle Watch
Middle Watch is a period of duty on a ship that is divided into two watches, the first watch and the last watch. It is the period of watch-keeping duty that is carried out between midnight and 4 a.m. by the crew members. The purpose of the Middle Watch is to ensure that the ship is being monitored during the night and to maintain the safety and security of the ship and its crew. During this time, the crew members are responsible for monitoring the ship's position, checking the navigation equipment, and ensuring that the ship is on course. They also keep a lookout for any potential hazards, such as other vessels or obstacles in the water.
