ISCC
ISCC stands for International Ship and Port Facility Security Code. It is a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities, developed in response to the perceived threats to ships and port facilities in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. The ISCC is a mandatory requirement for all ships engaged in international voyages, and for all port facilities serving such ships. The code sets out detailed security-related requirements for ships and port facilities, including measures to prevent unauthorized access, detect and respond to security threats, and ensure the continuity of essential services in the event of a security incident. Compliance with the ISCC is verified through regular inspections and audits by national authorities and international organizations.
