Skylight

A skylight is a window or opening in the roof of a ship, usually rectangular or square in shape, that allows natural light to enter the interior spaces below deck. Skylights are often found in cabins, saloons, and other living areas on board ships. They are typically made of glass or other transparent materials, and may be fixed or operable. Skylights can provide ventilation as well as light, and are an important feature for the comfort and well-being of crew and passengers on long voyages.
