Scupper Pipe

A scupper pipe is a drainage system on a ship that allows water to flow from the deck to the sea. It is a pipe that is installed through the ship's hull and is designed to prevent water from accumulating on the deck during rough seas or heavy rain. Scupper pipes are typically located on the sides of the ship and are angled downward to allow water to flow freely. They are an important safety feature on ships, as standing water on the deck can cause instability and increase the risk of accidents. Scupper pipes are also used to drain water from other areas of the ship, such as the bilge or ballast tanks.
