Rising Floors

Rising floors refer to the gradual increase in the height of the floors of a ship towards the stern. This design feature is commonly used in naval architecture to improve the seaworthiness of a vessel by reducing the amount of water that comes on board during heavy seas. The rising floors create a V-shaped hull that helps to deflect waves and reduce the impact of the ship's motion on the crew and cargo. This design also improves the stability of the ship and reduces the risk of capsizing. Rising floors are commonly used in modern ships, especially those designed for rough seas and adverse weather conditions.
