Periscope
A periscope is an instrument used for observation from a submerged submarine or a surface vessel. It consists of a tube with mirrors or prisms at each end, allowing an observer to see objects that are not in the direct line of sight. The periscope is an essential tool for submarines, as it allows them to remain hidden underwater while still being able to observe their surroundings.
