Keel Line

Keel line is an imaginary line that runs along the length of the keel of a ship. It is the lowest point of the ship's hull and is used as a reference point for measuring the ship's draft. The draft is the vertical distance between the waterline and the keel line. The keel line is also used as a reference point for determining the ship's stability and for designing the ship's hull. The shape of the hull, including the keel line, affects the ship's performance in the water, including its speed, maneuverability, and fuel efficiency.
