GNSS

GNSS stands for Global Navigation Satellite System. It is a satellite-based navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth. GNSS includes various satellite constellations such as GPS (USA), GLONASS (Russia), Galileo (Europe), BeiDou (China), and NavIC (India). These constellations transmit signals to GNSS receivers on the ground, which use the information to determine the receiver's location, velocity, and time. GNSS is widely used in maritime navigation for vessel tracking, collision avoidance, and search and rescue operations.
