GN (or GR)

GN (or GR) is a code used in maritime communication to indicate that a ship is in need of immediate assistance due to a serious and imminent danger to the ship, its crew, or its passengers. This code is part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) and is transmitted via radio or other means of communication.
