Duplicating Pipe

A Duplicating Pipe is a device used in shipbuilding to create a duplicate of a ship's pipe system. It is a long, flexible hose that is inserted into the existing pipe system and inflated with air. The pressure of the air causes the hose to expand and take on the shape of the existing pipe system. Once the hose has taken on the shape of the pipe system, it is filled with a liquid resin that hardens and creates a duplicate of the original pipe system. This process is used to create replacement pipe systems for ships that are no longer in production or to repair damaged pipe systems without having to remove and replace the entire system.
