Drip Pan

A drip pan is a container placed under machinery or equipment to catch any oil, fuel, or other fluids that may leak or spill. In the maritime context, drip pans are commonly used in engine rooms to collect any oil or fuel that may leak from engines or other machinery. They are typically made of metal or plastic and are designed to be easily removed and emptied. Drip pans are an important safety measure as they help prevent pollution of the marine environment and reduce the risk of fire or explosion in the engine room.
