Dive Tables
Dive tables are a set of printed instructions used to calculate the amount of time a diver can safely spend at a particular depth before needing to decompress. These tables take into account the depth of the dive, the time spent at that depth, and the diver's previous dives. The purpose of dive tables is to prevent decompression sickness, which can occur when a diver ascends too quickly and nitrogen bubbles form in the bloodstream. By following the instructions on the dive tables, divers can safely plan their dives and avoid the potentially dangerous effects of decompression sickness.
