Center Of Gravity
In maritime context, the center of gravity (COG) refers to the point on a vessel where the weight of the vessel is considered to be concentrated. It is the average location of all the weight of the vessel. The COG is an important concept in naval architecture and ship design as it affects the stability and maneuverability of the vessel. If the COG is too high, the vessel will be unstable and prone to capsizing. If the COG is too low, the vessel will be sluggish and difficult to maneuver.
