Waterspouts
Waterspouts are rotating columns of water and spray that are formed by a whirlwind occurring over a body of water. They are typically classified as either tornadic or fair weather waterspouts. Waterspouts can be dangerous to ships and boats, as they can cause strong winds and high waves in their immediate vicinity.
