Voyage Expenses
In the maritime context, voyage expenses refer to the costs incurred during a ship's journey from one port to another. These expenses can be variable and are directly related to the voyage itself. They include costs such as fuel or bunker costs, which are the expenses for the fuel used by the ship during the voyage; port charges, which are the fees paid to the port authorities for services like docking, pilotage, and use of port facilities; and canal dues, which are the charges for using canals that shorten the voyage.
