Towline

A towline is a rope or cable used to tow a vessel or floating object. It is attached to the vessel being towed and the towing vessel, and is used to transmit the pulling force from the towing vessel to the vessel being towed. Towlines are commonly used in maritime operations such as salvage, rescue, and towing of disabled vessels. The strength and length of the towline depend on the size and weight of the vessel being towed, as well as the weather and sea conditions. Proper handling and maintenance of towlines are crucial to ensure safe and effective towing operations.
