Syncrolift
Syncrolift is a type of shiplift system used for launching, dry-docking, and repairing ships. It consists of a large platform that can be raised or lowered by a system of hydraulic jacks. The platform is submerged in the water and the ship is floated onto it. The platform is then raised out of the water, taking the ship with it. This allows for easy access to the hull of the ship for maintenance and repairs. Syncrolifts are commonly used in shipyards and naval bases around the world.
