Stringers

In naval architecture, stringers are longitudinal structural members that run parallel to the keel and support the deck and hull of a ship. They are typically made of wood, steel, or aluminum and are attached to the frames of the ship. Stringers help distribute the weight of the ship evenly and provide additional strength and stiffness to the hull. They also serve as a foundation for the planking or decking of the ship. Stringers are an important component of the ship's structure and are carefully designed and placed to ensure the ship's stability and durability.
