Spinnaker

A spinnaker is a large, balloon-like sail used for sailing downwind. It is typically made of lightweight nylon or polyester and is designed to catch the wind from behind the boat, providing additional speed and power. The spinnaker is flown from a pole at the front of the boat, called the spinnaker pole, and is controlled by sheets attached to the corners of the sail. The spinnaker is commonly used in racing and cruising, and requires a skilled crew to handle it safely and effectively.
