Sirenia

Sirenia is an order of fully aquatic, herbivorous mammals that inhabit rivers, estuaries, coastal marine waters, swamps, and marine wetlands. The order includes four living species: the Amazonian manatee, the West Indian manatee, the West African manatee, and the dugong. Sirenians have a fusiform body with no dorsal fin or hind limbs, and their forelimbs are modified into flippers. They are slow-moving and can stay submerged for up to 20 minutes. Sirenians are threatened by habitat loss, hunting, and accidental entanglement in fishing gear.
