Shifting Beam

Shifting Beam is a navigational light that is mounted on a movable platform, which can be shifted to change the direction of the light beam. It is used to guide ships through narrow channels or around hazards. The shifting beam is typically mounted on a tower or a pole and can be rotated horizontally or vertically to direct the light beam in the desired direction. The light produced by the shifting beam is usually a bright white light, but it can also be colored to indicate different navigational information. The shifting beam is an important aid to navigation for mariners, especially in areas where the water is shallow or there are many hazards.
