Scow

A scow is a flat-bottomed boat with a rectangular hull, typically used for transporting goods in shallow waters. Scows are commonly used for dredging, carrying cargo, or as a support vessel for larger ships. They are often unpowered and are either towed or pushed by a powered vessel. Scows are versatile and can be used in a variety of environments, including rivers, canals, and coastal waters. Due to their flat bottom, scows are able to navigate in shallow waters that would be inaccessible to deeper-draft vessels. They are also relatively easy to build and maintain, making them a popular choice for many maritime applications.
