SALM

Single Anchor Leg Mooring (SALM) is a type of mooring system used for offshore oil loading and unloading operations. It consists of a single anchor, a mooring line, and a buoy that is attached to the seabed. The buoy is designed to float on the water surface and is connected to the anchor by a mooring line. The tanker is then moored to the buoy, which allows it to move freely with the changing tide and weather conditions. SALM is a cost-effective and efficient solution for offshore oil loading and unloading operations, especially in deep water where traditional mooring systems are not feasible.
