Propeller Arch

Propeller Arch is a structure located at the stern of a ship that houses the propeller and provides support for the stern tube. It is designed to reduce the drag and turbulence caused by the propeller, which in turn increases the ship's speed and fuel efficiency. The shape and size of the propeller arch are determined by the ship's design and the size of the propeller. The arch is usually made of steel and is an integral part of the ship's hull. Propeller arches are commonly found on larger vessels such as cargo ships, tankers, and cruise ships.
