NYPE

NYPE stands for New York Produce Exchange form. It is a standard form of time charter party used in the shipping industry. The NYPE form was first introduced in 1946 by the New York Produce Exchange and has since become one of the most widely used time charter party forms. The NYPE form is a comprehensive document that sets out the terms and conditions of the charter party, including the duration of the charter, the hire rate, the obligations of the owner and the charterer, and the rights and responsibilities of both parties. The NYPE form is particularly popular for the chartering of dry bulk carriers and tankers.
