Natural Gas

Natural gas is a fossil fuel that is formed from the remains of plants and animals buried deep beneath the earth's surface. It is primarily composed of methane, but can also contain small amounts of other hydrocarbons such as ethane, propane, and butane. Natural gas is often found in association with oil deposits, and is extracted from underground reservoirs using drilling techniques. In the maritime context, natural gas is transported via specialized vessels known as LNG carriers, which are designed to keep the gas in a liquid state at very low temperatures. These carriers are used to transport natural gas from production sites to processing plants, and from processing plants to distribution centers around the world.
