Moulded Breadth
Moulded breadth is the maximum breadth of the ship measured between the outermost points on the hull at the level of the moulded line. The moulded line is the line of intersection between the external surface of the hull and a reference plane called the moulded base. The moulded breadth is an important parameter in ship design and construction as it determines the size of the cargo hold and the stability of the ship. It is also used in the calculation of various other parameters such as displacement, block coefficient, and midship section coefficient.
