Maritime Domain


Maritime Domain refers to the areas of water that are under the jurisdiction of a particular nation, including the territorial sea, contiguous zone, exclusive economic zone, and continental shelf. It also includes the airspace above these areas, as well as the ocean floor and subsoil. The Maritime Domain is of strategic importance for national security, economic development, and environmental protection. It is used for a variety of activities, including shipping, fishing, oil and gas exploration, and military operations. The management and control of the Maritime Domain is governed by international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
