Lo-lo (lift On-lift-off)

Lo-lo (lift On-lift-off) is a method of cargo handling in which a crane is used to lift cargo on and off a ship. This method is typically used for heavy or oversized cargo that cannot be loaded or unloaded by other means. The crane is mounted on the ship and can move along the length of the vessel to access different cargo holds. The crane is equipped with a spreader bar that can be adjusted to fit the size and shape of the cargo. Once the cargo is lifted onto the ship, it is secured in place using lashings and other restraints to prevent it from shifting during transport.
