Hounding

Hounding is a naval tactic used to pursue and harass an enemy vessel in order to exhaust its crew and resources. This tactic involves a continuous and aggressive pursuit of the enemy vessel, often with the intention of forcing it to surrender or abandon its mission. Hounding can be used in both offensive and defensive situations, and is often employed by smaller, faster vessels against larger, slower ones. The success of hounding depends on the skill and endurance of the pursuing crew, as well as the vulnerability and resilience of the targeted vessel.
