Green Sea

Green Sea refers to a body of water that appears green in color due to the presence of microscopic marine plants called phytoplankton. These plants contain chlorophyll which gives the water a greenish tint. The green color of the sea can vary in intensity depending on the amount of phytoplankton present. Green seas are often found in areas with high nutrient levels, such as coastal upwelling zones, where cold, nutrient-rich water rises from the depths and supports the growth of phytoplankton. While green seas can be visually striking, they can also indicate potential problems such as harmful algal blooms that can harm marine life and human health.
