Foredeck

Foredeck is the foremost part of the main deck of a ship, located at the bow (front) of the vessel. It is the area where the crew can access the mooring equipment, anchor chain, and windlass. The foredeck is also used for storing equipment and supplies, and for handling cargo. In addition, it is the primary location for carrying out maintenance and repair work on the ship's hull and equipment. The foredeck is an important area for safety, as it is where the crew can access life-saving equipment such as life rafts and life buoys in case of an emergency.
