Deep Tank

A deep tank is a compartment within a ship's hull that is used for various purposes such as ballasting, storing fuel or cargo, or as a reservoir for fresh water. The tank is located below the ship's waterline and is designed to withstand the pressure of the surrounding water. Deep tanks are typically used to adjust the ship's trim and stability, and to maintain proper draft. They can also be used to store liquids that are not compatible with other cargo or to provide additional buoyancy in case of emergency. The size and number of deep tanks vary depending on the size and type of the ship.
