Crustaceans
Crustaceans are a diverse group of marine animals that have a hard exoskeleton, two pairs of antennae, and jointed legs. They include familiar animals such as crabs, lobsters, shrimp, and barnacles, as well as less well-known creatures such as krill and copepods. Crustaceans play an important role in marine ecosystems as both predators and prey, and are also commercially important as a food source. They are often found in shallow waters near the coast, but can also be found in deep-sea environments. Some species of crustaceans are also known to migrate long distances, such as the spiny lobster which can travel up to 200 miles in a single year.
