Coastal Batteries

Coastal batteries are fortifications built on or near the coast to defend harbors, ports, and other coastal facilities from naval attack. These batteries are equipped with heavy guns and other artillery weapons that can fire at enemy ships approaching the coast. Coastal batteries have been used for centuries to protect coastal areas from naval invasions and attacks. They played a crucial role in many naval battles throughout history, including the World War II. Today, many countries still maintain coastal batteries as a part of their coastal defense strategy.
