
Coast Guard
A maritime security force responsible for enforcing maritime laws, conducting search and rescue operations, and protecting the coastal and territorial waters of a country. The Coast Guard is also responsible for maintaining aids to navigation, preventing marine pollution, and ensuring the safety and security of vessels and ports. They work closely with other law enforcement agencies and international partners to combat maritime crime and terrorism. In times of war or national emergency, the Coast Guard may be placed under the control of the Navy.
