Clarifying Agent

A clarifying agent is a substance used in the maritime industry to remove impurities and suspended particles from liquids, such as fuel and lubricating oil, to improve their quality and performance. These agents work by either settling the impurities to the bottom of the tank or by breaking them down into smaller particles that can be easily filtered out. Clarifying agents are commonly used in ships to ensure that the fuel and lubricating oil used in the engines are of high quality and free from contaminants that can cause damage to the engine components. They are also used in the treatment of ballast water to remove harmful organisms and sediments before discharge into the sea.
