Buoyancy Control Device
A Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) is a piece of diving equipment that allows a diver to adjust and maintain their buoyancy underwater. It typically consists of an inflatable bladder that can be filled with air from a tank or released to decrease buoyancy. The BCD also has straps that secure the tank to the diver's back and allow for easy removal. Some BCDs also have integrated weight systems to help the diver achieve neutral buoyancy. Proper use of a BCD is essential for safe and comfortable diving, as it allows the diver to control their depth and position in the water.
