Bunks

Bunks are narrow, fixed beds on a ship, typically stacked in tiers and lined up along the walls of a cabin or a berth. They are designed to maximize the use of limited space on board and provide sleeping accommodations for the crew or passengers. Bunks can be made of wood, metal, or other materials and are often equipped with safety rails to prevent occupants from falling out during rough seas. In addition to their primary function as sleeping quarters, bunks may also serve as storage space for personal belongings or emergency supplies.
