Bilge Bracket

A bilge bracket is a metal support that is installed on the inside of a ship's hull to provide additional strength and support to the bilge area. The bilge is the lowest part of the ship's interior where water collects and must be pumped out. Bilge brackets are typically made of steel or aluminum and are welded or bolted to the hull. They are designed to distribute the weight of the ship evenly and prevent damage to the hull caused by the movement of water. Bilge brackets are an important component of a ship's structural integrity and are subject to regular inspection and maintenance.
