
Rubber-tired Gantry (RTG) Or Rubber-tired Container Gantry Crane
A Rubber-tired Gantry (RTG) or Rubber-tired Container Gantry Crane is a mobile crane used in maritime industry for stacking containers in container yards. It is powered by diesel generators and has a cabin for the operator to control the crane. The crane is equipped with a spreader that can lift and move containers horizontally and vertically. The RTG moves on rubber tires and is capable of lifting containers from one stack and placing them precisely on another stack. It is commonly used in container terminals and ports for efficient handling of containers.
