Pooped

Pooped is a term used in maritime context to describe a situation where a wave strikes a ship from astern, causing water to come over the stern and often flooding the deck. This can be a dangerous situation as it can cause the ship to become unstable and potentially capsize. The term can also be used to describe a ship that has been overtaken and captured by another ship. In this context, the ship is said to have been 'pooped' by the attacking vessel.
