IMDG

IMDG stands for International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code. It is a set of guidelines and regulations developed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to ensure the safe transportation of dangerous goods by sea. The IMDG Code provides detailed instructions on how to classify, package, mark, label, and document dangerous goods shipments. It also specifies the requirements for stowage, segregation, and handling of dangerous goods on board ships. The IMDG Code is mandatory for all shipments of dangerous goods by sea and applies to all vessels engaged in international maritime transport. Compliance with the IMDG Code is essential to ensure the safety of crew, vessel, cargo, and the environment.
