Hydrostatic Test

Hydrostatic Test is a type of pressure test that is performed on a vessel or pipeline to check its structural integrity and strength. In the maritime context, hydrostatic testing is commonly used to test the seaworthiness of ships and boats. During the test, the vessel is filled with water and pressurized to a level that exceeds its normal operating pressure. The pressure is then held for a specified period of time to ensure that there are no leaks or other defects in the vessel's structure. The test is typically conducted before a vessel is put into service or after a major repair or modification has been made to the vessel.
