Flush Deck
Flush deck is a term used in maritime context to describe a type of ship deck that has no raised forecastle or poop deck. In other words, the deck is level from stem to stern without any raised structures. This type of deck design provides more space for cargo and equipment, and also reduces wind resistance, making the ship more streamlined and faster. Flush decks are commonly found on modern naval vessels, cargo ships, and some passenger ships. However, they can be more vulnerable to heavy seas and may require additional strengthening to withstand the forces of the ocean.
