Echo Sounders

Echo sounders are instruments used to determine the depth of water beneath a vessel. They work by emitting a sound wave, which travels through the water and reflects off the seabed. The time taken for the sound wave to travel to the seabed and back to the echo sounder is measured, and this information is used to calculate the depth of the water. Echo sounders are an essential tool for safe navigation, as they allow mariners to determine the depth of the water and avoid running aground. They are also used in hydrographic surveys to map the seabed and gather information about the underwater environment.
