Cleaning In Transit

Cleaning In Transit (CIT) is a process of cleaning cargo tanks of a vessel while the vessel is in transit. This process is carried out to ensure that the tanks are free from any residue or contaminants that may affect the quality of the next cargo. CIT is usually done by using high-pressure water jets and chemicals to remove any remaining cargo and cleaning the tanks thoroughly. This process is important to prevent contamination of the next cargo and to comply with environmental regulations. CIT is usually carried out by specialized cleaning companies that have the necessary equipment and expertise to perform the task safely and efficiently.
