Cargo Door

A cargo door is an opening in the hull or superstructure of a ship, through which cargo can be loaded and unloaded. Cargo doors are designed to be watertight and strong enough to withstand the forces of the sea. They are usually located on the main deck or the weather deck, and can be either side-hinged or vertically sliding. Cargo doors are an essential component of a ship's cargo handling system, and their design and operation must comply with international regulations and industry standards.
