After Deck

After Deck refers to the part of the deck located at the stern or aft of a ship. It is the area behind the superstructure and includes the poop deck and the quarterdeck. The after deck is usually used for storage of equipment, mooring lines, and other supplies. It is also used for the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers and crew. The after deck is an important area for the operation of the ship as it provides access to the steering gear, the rudder, and the propeller. It is also used for the deployment of lifeboats and other emergency equipment.
